Can you guys guess that what is common in every living thing? Tired and give up? It’s water that everybody needs to grow. Water is almost 70% responsible for the proper function of our body. As all know already that a human body is made of 70% of water. So here it plays an important role in the body, even it can have an impact on the body by your way of drinking water, your timing of drinking water. We, humans, don’t drink water to only live. The way of drinking water does affect your overall health. Here is a complete guide about drinking water, How much we should drink every day? How should you drink water? When should drink water? What are the benefits of drinking water?  

Complete knowledge of drinking water can resolve many long time problems such as constipation. Constipation is one of those problems you can here easily by everyone. You can get medicine from the drug store but the impact of medicine won’t be so long. Have you ever noticed these problems we’re getting by our own silly mistakes of not drinking enough water in the right manner.

We all are hearing that we should not be drinking water standing up. We all have a habit of drinking water immediately after reaching home, often standing. Here are a lot of reasons to follow are elders saying about avoiding drinking water standing and making a habit of sitting while you drink water.

  1. Ayurveda says that the human body is designed in a way to get more benefits after sitting down and exercise. This is why our elders always suggest us to sitting and eating, drinking water while sitting. The Indian style of sitting also helps to improve the digestion system.

  1. As it is already mentioned above that our body is made of 70% of water, but what happens if you don’t fill enough quantity of water in your body? Yes, you will be dehydrated or can face many problems. It is very easy to fill up the quantity but it won’t work until it hasn’t be done in the right way.

  1. When you drink water? Obviously when you feel thirst. Your thirst won’t over until you sit relax and drink water. You can easily notice this when you drink water standing up.

  1.  If you are facing problems like joint pain and you got tired of taking medicines. Then you may be one of those who are not having water in the right manner. When you drink water standing up, it goes straight down and requires minerals and nutrition do not reach the liver and your important organs. Water travel very fast. This is also saying that sitting down and drinking water can give you relief from joint pain. Try it.

  1. When you drink water standing up, it goes through your digestion system very fast and disturbs the oxygen level as well.  Drinking water like this can give risk to your lungs and heart also.

  1. Whenever you drink, start it with 3 sips. Never drink all water in one go.  By sipping of water it riches to all organs and travels slowly in the digestion system and improves the capacity of absorbing all nutrition and minerals.

So now you have reasons for avoiding drinking water while standing up. Water is very essential for the human body.  You can’t ever get the substitute for water that can work on your thirst. Drinking water in a proper manner also can help you to weight issues. For an adult, it is important to drink  3-4 liters of water every day. 

Don’t make this silly and small mistake. Whenever you drink water remember to always sit. If you can’t sit somewhere than just bent your knees. Drinking water after sitting helps to absorb all the nutrients and activate our mind. 


Time also matters in your drinking water routine. The human body has been designed in the way if it needs something it starts to send a sign regarding that. Here, Thirst is the sign of water your body is asking for. 

So when you need to drink water? When you don’t drink enough water for the day you body get dehydrated and start sending sign you. Such as if your pee color is dark yellow then you need need to drink water and if the very light yellow then you are well hydrated.

When your mouth gets dry and you don’t drink water, saliva also misses out, which is very important to digest food. So whenever you feel your mouth dry, drink water.

The quantity of drinking water also changes according to your everyday activity. If you playing sports than you need to drink water before, mid and after finish the game. If you will be dehydrated you won’t be able to focus on the game. The same goes for the exercise but the way gets change. Drink water sip-sip after every set. 

A schedule that will help to consume 3-4 litters every day

7:00 AM

drink one glass of water after waking up. Because it been a very long night you haven’t drink.

8:30-9:00 AM

This is going to be your 2nd glass of water. After an approximate half-hour of your breakfast

10:00-11:30 AM

3rd glass of water you can drink a half hour before your snake or lunch

01:30 PM

Drink the 4th glass of water after a half-hour of your lunch to allow your body to absorb all the nutrients from food.

2:00-3:30 PM

Drink your 5th glass of water before your snake your tea break.  

4:30-6:30 PM

Drink your 6th glass of water to keep your body hydrated. 

Here I drink almost one-liter water during my workout to keep myself hydrated.

7:00- 8:00 PM

Here now drink your 7th glass of water after a half-hour your dinner.

9:30-10:30 PM

Drink your last and 8th glass of water before you bedtime for the whole night. 

By drinking 8 glass every day you can consume 2 liters water excluding your tea, juice, water fruits.  I drink 500ml (two glass) every morning I wake up. I drink one-liter water during my workout session as well This is how I consume 3-4 liters every day. I prefer to carry a water bottle, it makes it easy to drink enough water.


Drinking cold water also can damage muscle tissues. I do prefer drinking room temperature water. Warm will be even better.
